Probation question?

okay. ive been on probation for almost 2 years. my probation officer told me if i pay my fines off he will let me off probation, so did. he told me to call him next week to make sure the money went threw, and then he would write the letter to get me off early. now heres the question...should i smoke? ive never been drug tester by him and he always tells me how good of a probationee ive been. my friends all told me that when they say your off that they all smoked and never got called back in, even though he said your not off until you get your papers in the mail, i feel that ill be okay. whats your opinion?
