Honda prelude SH (97-01) good first car?

I'm soon going to turn 18 and buy my first car. I would like to drive a car that would last as long as possible. I'm kinda iffy with how old the car is and the mileage on most of the preludes that are on sale (100,000+) Would I be okay buying a using prelude SH? Or should I just go with a more recent car like the scion tc or any other options?
