Is this a good way to conserve and save water?

All this talk about saving water now days, I have an idea. To save on bathing, people could shower together. So for the water used during one shower, 2 people are being warshed up. It would be great for couples but if you live alone, you could ask a neighbor or friend. Do you think this is a good idea and should I suggest this to local water boards?
