What are Jews people?

ok i dont know but for some reason i am totally lost with these Jews thing. are they a religion? a race? are they racist? what's their color? whats up with these people not liking them and some do? are they colored or white? where do they live? east coast? what are jews people??? i remember there was an issue about mel gibson and the jews few years ago i think and i remember i was totally dumb about it and i just ignored it. until i was in youtube today and one of the comments says i dont trust jews people like you and the comment was in a make tutorial of a girl there. so i guess i have to ask.
