Am i able to sue this doctor?

a few months ago i got sick i had a sore throat and was throwing up for 3 days so i went and saw a doctor the doctor said i had a yeast infection in my mouth and gave me medicine for my mouth. a few days later i was even worse and was actually glowing red. so i saw another doctor and he said i had strep throat which had turned to scarlet fever so he started me on antibiotics but it was already shutting down my kidneys and in result i almost died..so am i able to sue the first doctor for diagnosing me wrong and almost causing my death?...also my daughter went with me the first time with the same thing and that doctor said she wasnt sick at all
